I’m not sure what brought you here. I’m inclined to think you want to know about me. Me being IBé. Duh! But I know better. Just in case, if my assumption is right, try About Me. You will find disturbingly too much information about IBé and what he is all about. Okay enough with the psycho third person.

AtlanticRock is my personal site. As that, yeah, my pictures and opinions are littered all over the place. It is a blog. Though not every page is set-up as that. If you want to leave a comment regarding any particular posting, check 2 Cents. That is the blog. Most of the items are posted there. I welcome your comments. And do leave something. Even if it's a simple hi. That is the only way I know I'm not cyber-talking to myself. Or you can always drop me a note.

However, AtlanticRock is a little more than a blog. As in everything I do, it is my attempts to teach people those things/places/people that are dear to my heart.

If you know me, you probably know me as spoken word poet. Well that I am. So if that’s what brought you here, stop by the open mic and come closer to some of my poems. I try to feature one poem a week. So check it today and check it at the end of the week. You can always drop by SouLs on disPlay to catch me on the mic. And you can pay me back with few words of your own. If your Saturdays are off limit, but man, you would like to catch an open mic maybe on a Tuesday, well, sir we can make that happen. Drive by the open mic listings and go have fun.

Since metaphors and similes sometime get in the way, as mentioned before 2 Cents is the prose interpretation of the same themes. Sometimes, no matter how eloquent the words, they just can’t substitute for picture. As they say, a picture is worth….way too many words. So check out the Faces of the characters I talk and write about. They are some amazing people engaged in some amazing lives. I’m proud of these people! These taxi drivers, factory workers, mall sweepers, small business owners, professors, students, babysitters, single parents….If I could I would curse them with everlasting happiness and make it so they would never shed a single stream of tear their whole life. Except of cause tears of joy.
